You are Loved!
What a thought this is! … especially in today’s world. It seems that everywhere we turn, we see just the opposite of love. Love appears to be cheap and misunderstood in today’s world. People and couples are quick to say “I Love you” without really understanding what true Love is. Every day we are exposed to the effects of sin upon our world and see it in wars, crime, abuse, and even locally on a smaller level. With all this in mind, you may be asking, how can I know that I am loved… and who is it that loves me?
Friend, if you are reading this page… we can tell you with great assurance that you ARE loved by God! Even though God knew the wickedness that sin would bring into the world, He still loved YOU enough to send His Son Jesus to die for your sins and for the sins of the world. We have all fallen short of Gods standards and His commands, (Romans 3:23), but we also know that the Bible tells us plainly that even though we are all stained by sin, that God loves us:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” – Romans 3:23
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and the Bible teaches that our sin separates us from God, but also that He loved us enough to provide a way for us to come to Him by faith, and that way is the atonement found in the blood of Jesus Christ. This way provided by God is not just “a way” or “one way” but it is THE way for us to come to salvation.
“Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:5-6
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12
It is a fact that YOU are LOVED by God. It is also a fact that God has provided a way for you to be saved from your sin and accept His gift of love. The only thing in question is your response to this love… have you ever accepted this perfect gift of God’s Love?
If you died tonight, do you know for a fact that you would go to Heaven? Did you know that it is possible to be 100% certain of your eternal future? It is possible to pillow your head tonight and never worry about eternity again! You can never have to worry if you have done enough “good deeds” or been faithful enough to church to go to Heaven for eternity. The Bible clearly tells us that we can KNOW that we have eternal life (I John 5:13) and here is how:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”- Romans 10:9
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:13
You are Loved! Not only by God, but by His people. As a church family we believe that we are to show and live this love in a way that will allow us to tell others about Christ. There is much more that we can tell you about this wonderful love of God, and how that Gods people are to be a people of love. As the hands and feet of Christ, it is our goal to show Gods love to the people in this area and introduce them to this Savior who loves them.
